growth of longer points

i keep seeing more and more people use longer points - obviously a lot due to littler i even got 35mm points because of the craze (honestly would never go back to shorter points) but my point is why aren’t longer points now the generic set for most darts? like most still come with 26mm when i feel like the majority of the community uses 30+mm points nowadays. obviously it’s fine for swiss points as it’s such an easy change but i feel like 32/35 will become or should become the default for most sets soon
